From Monday the 23rd of June, TFI Local Link Kerry Route 280 will be enhanced from Waterville to Killarney via Killorglin.
This enhanced route is part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan which is a major national public transport initiative developed and funded by the National Transport Authority (NTA) as part of the Transport for Ireland (TFI) Network.
Route 280 will now operate an additional morning and evening service to bring the total daily return services to 9 between Waterville and Killorglin with 4 return services extending to Killarney.
The enhanced route will continue to provide a peak-time service for commuters as well as connectivity to regional bus and rail services at Killarney station and connections to the wider TFI Public Transport Network.
The route from Waterville to Killarney will continue to offer connectivity to villages and areas such as Cahersiveen, Kells, Glenbeigh, Killorglin and Beaufort.
