TFI Local Link Kerry have 7 types of transport services that we operate across the County:

Demand Responsive Transport

Door to Door Routes are bus services that operate a pick up and drop off at the door services for people living in rural areas, where possible.

Rural Regular Services

(High Frequency)

These operate to a set timetable multiple times a day and can operate for 5, 6 or 7 days each week.

Evening Time Services

Pilot evening time bus services.

On top of that TFI Local Link Kerry also operate the following;

Coordinated Transport

As the Transport Coordination Unit for Co Kerry, TFI Local Link Kerry manage and co-ordinate a range of services on behalf of other Agencies/ Organisation – HSE, Kerry County Council, Kerry Diocesan Youth Services, Day Care Centres, Rural Men Initiative, Active Retired Networks, Community After School Facilities, Community Hospital etc..
TFI Local Link Kerry also work with Agencies to support and promote Integrated Transport – currently working with HSE, Enable Ireland, St John of Gods & Kerry Parents and Friends.

Social Car

TFI Local Link Kerry are Piloting Volunteer Social Car Initiatives in the County with Ard Curam Day Care Centre in Listowel, Baile Mhuire Day Care Centre in Tralee & Kerry Social Farming.

Social Inclusion Transport

Co-ordinate Once off Bus Services for a range of Community Organisations and Groups that are registered through the Kerry Public Participation Network to attend events under our Once Off Social Inclusion Transport.

Community Car Services

TFI Local Link Kerry were successful in being awarded grant aid to operate 2 community Car Schemes in Kerry with the key aim of providing a community transport service that is accessible to all service users and that addresses rural social exclusion.
TFI Local Link Kerry are currently working with Keel Castlemaine LIFT to operate a Community Car scheme for their area. A car owned by the Community and driven by local Volunteers (who are registered with and Garda Vetted through TFI Local Link Kerry) will operate Sunday to Thursdays evenings and is available to all members of the local community.
TFI Local Link Kerry are also working with Rathea – Irremore – Kilflynn to roll out the same type model in March but the commencement date has been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic but should be up and running soon.
